Dr. Iorio was born in New York and grew up in Texas and New Jersey. After graduating from Johns Hopkins University, he earned his medical degree at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency at Vanderbilt.

Dr. Iorio is married to Tamara Stone Iorio, who is a pediatrician in Columbus. The Iorios have four children.

Dr. Iorio enjoys cooking and drawing cartoons. For exercise, he enjoys running and lifting weights.

Dr. Iorio joined Columbus Internal Medicine Associates in July 2001. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Iorio is the Associate Director of Intensive Care Services at Columbus Regional Hospital. His special medical interests include diabetes, lung disease, and critical care.
