Dr. Stone grew up in Corydon, Vincennes and Terre Haute, Indiana. He attended Indiana Central College (now the University of Indianapolis). After receiving his M.D. degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine, he completed Internal Medicine training at Akron City hospital in Akron, Ohio.

He and his wife, Mary Sue, have three grown children, Tami, Eric, and Greg. They are enjoying the interaction with their grandchildren. The Stones are members of Asbury United Methodist Church where they sing in the choir.

Dr. Stone enjoys nature photography and many of his pictures are displayed in the office. He has developed proficiency in the photographic applications of Adobe Photoshop and is learning to speak Spanish. He has traveled to Haiti, Honduras, Latvia, Mexico, and Peru for medical mission trips.

Dr. Stone joined Columbus Internal Medicine Associates in August, 1976. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. His special medical interests include diabetes, hypertension, osteoporosis, and the treatment of cholesterol problems.
